Mr. McCormick

Middle School Theology Teacher | 970-484-1171 x272

Mr. McCormick was born and raised in Southern California. He studied theatre arts and philosophy in college. After moving to Oregon in his 20’s, he studied elementary education at Oregon State University. “I consider myself a Beaver Believer,” he said. “There is always great rejoicing in my house when the Beavers manage to beat the Oregon Ducks in football!” He later earned a master’s in theological studies from the University of Dallas.

Mr. McCormick worked for the Catholic Church in various parishes and schools in Oregon before moving to Colorado to be near one set of grandchildren. In Colorado he worked as a corporate chaplain and Hospice chaplain before retiring. He spends his free time volunteering with his parish in the Homebound Visitors Ministry and loves to spend time with family and tending to chores around the house.

He has been a substitute teacher at Saint Joseph Catholic School for the past two years and is pleased to be joining the faculty, including his wife who teaches third grade, as the middle school theology teacher this year.
