Mrs. Aiken began her teaching career in Chicago 33 years ago teaching biology and physical science at an all girls’ Catholic high school. She graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in zoology and secondary education and earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. She has attended the University of Oregon Marine Biology Summer Program, Fermi National Laboratory Summer Institute for Teachers, Space Camp for Teachers in Huntsville, Alabama, and most currently, STEM Institute Teacher.
This is Mrs. Aiken’s 15th year teaching at Saint Joseph Catholic School. She loves teaching middle school because each day brings its own rewards and challenges. She is grateful for the wonderful students she has the privilege of teaching.
She and her husband Joe have two children, both Saint Joseph graduates. When not teaching, she enjoys running, reading and traveling while spending time with her family. She is a member of Saint John XXIII.
