Mrs. Laurent

6th Grade Homeroom/6th-8th Grade Religion/Language Arts Teacher | 970-484-1171 x272

Mrs. Laurent cannot wait to join Saint Joseph’s community! She hails from Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Secondary Education at DeSales University (2009). Since then, she has worked in a myriad of roles including serving as a FOCUS missionary in Illinois and Colorado, working at the parish level as the Director of Religious Education for the Cathedral of Allentown, PA and her all-time favorite role: teaching!

Over four years, she taught theology to grades 6th-12th at two different schools. “There is nothing I love more than sharing our Catholic faith with young people. To better equip myself for this passion of mine, I stepped away from my teaching role in 2019 to become a full-time student again at the Augustine Institute, where I graduated with my Master of Arts in Theology on April 30, 2022! I loved being a student again, but I am itching to return to the classroom as a teacher and share what I’ve learned with my students. Outside of theology and teaching, I love reading, cooking, taking walks or hikes and spending time with my family, friends and my husband Jim.”
