Mrs. McCormick loves creating opportunities for students to learn new things, discover passions, and accomplish more than they think they can. Her Catholic faith and love of the Lord guide every aspect of her teaching.

Mrs. McCormick grew up in Florida, attending 12 years of Catholic school. Her adventurous spirit moved her to Oregon where she earned a degree in elementary education from Western Oregon University. She also has endorsements in gifted/talented, library/media specialist, and mathematics. She has been blessed to use those skills with students in 3rd – 8th grade in Oregon, Florida, and Colorado.

Mrs. McCormick’s greatest adventure has been family life with an amazing husband, five children, and seven grandchildren. “After having taught in public and Catholic schools for 30 years, my heart yearned to live closer to at least of couple of our grandchildren, so in 2015 we moved to Colorado. I am excited to be here and have been blessed to become a part of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church and now to serve at Saint Joseph Catholic School.”
