Ms. Mykee Neil

Middle School Science and Engineering, Seventh Grade Homeroom | (970) 484-1171 x208

Ms. Neil grew up in Greeley, but spent a lot of time in Oklahoma on her grandfather’s cattle ranch, sparking her interest in animal science. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with her bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology and her master’s degree in biological sciences. She then graduated from Colorado State University with a second master’s degree in biomedical sciences with a concentration in animal anatomy and physiology.

Ms. Neil has a background in veterinary medicine, specifically in shelter medicine. She works with CSU in K-12 outreach, teaching young students about animal anatomy and physiology. She has also worked as a graduate teaching assistant, teaching the same subjects to college students.

Ms. Neil recently completed OCIA, and was baptized and confirmed at Saint Joseph Parish at the Easter Vigil 2025. She loves helping others get excited about science and theology, and working at Saint Joseph allows her to combine her relationship with God with discussing science and the world we are blessed to live in. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, knitting, embroidery, camping, baking, and visiting science museums.
