With the advent of online school resources, it has become increasingly important for schools to carefully manage the privacy of student data. Within this environment, Saint Joseph Catholic School strives to ensure that our online data policies meet all applicable standards and legislation.
Our use of online services is primarily governed by the Childrens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which establishes requirements not only for the operators of the services, but also for the schools that utilize them. It is our responsibility both to ensure that we maintain a transparent list of the online services we use and to verify that each of them has issued a statement of COPPA compliance.
The following table identifies the online services we currently use to store personal student data online. Although their privacy policies are not under our control, we have made it easy for parents to review them by clicking their corresponding links.
