Ms. Jones is excited to be here! She has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Education with a specialization in U.S. education in a global context, a professional crosscultural, language, and academic development (CLAD) multiple subject K-8 credential and a professional elementary education K-6 license.
She has been teaching since 2003, and over the years she has taught ESL, preschool and varying grades in K-8 schools in Alpine Union and Hemet Unified School Districts. During that time she volunteered to teach Religious Education and Faith Formation at her church. In 2015, she began to work for the Catholic Diocese of San Diego. She was the middle school STEAM (STREAM one year) teacher at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School (OLSH) in San Diego. She worked at OLSH for three years until the school closed. For the last 3 years Ms. Jones was working at Stella Maris Academy (SMA) in La Jolla. She was the SMA 8th grade homeroom teacher and taught 8th grade religion, 8th grade algebra and 6-8 science. She moved with her family to the Fort Collins area in December.
“I am very excited to start this new chapter of my life and look forward to being a part of the faith-filled, lifelong learning community at Saint Joseph.”
